Elections scheduled to hold today postponed! New date; February 23rd and March 9th respectively.

The presidential and National House of representatives elections scheduled to hold today Saturday, February 16th 2019 has been rescheduled for February 23rd and the governorship, States House of Assembly and FCT Area Council Elections rescheduled too for March 9th due to unforseen circumstances.
INEC took to their twitter page to announce this,

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, announced the decision at a short press briefing at 2:44 am Saturday morning.

 He said;
 “Following a careful review of the implementation of its logistics and operational plan, and the determination to conduct free, fair, and credible elections, the commission came to the conclusion that proceeding with the elections as scheduled is no longer feasible"
