Important Tips on What you should know concerning the forth coming general elections.
Some tips to guide you through the forth coming general polls.
First of all note the type of election and dates:
President and National Assembly (House of Representatives, and House of Senate)
February 16th, 2019.
Governorship, States house of Assembly and the Area Council elections in FCT will hold on March 2nd 2019.
* Without a PVC (voters card), don't even waste your time going to the polling unit (be useful at home). Because without a PVC, you won't be allowed to vote
*If you are caught in any election malpractice or vice versa you will be locked up and you can only be attended to after all elections (decease from anything that will implicate you, tell your boyfriend, friends and siblings).
*Accreditation and voting starts 8:00hrs to 14:00hrs (No one will be allowed to join the queue once it is 14:00hrs)
*After accreditation you will be directed straight up to the next level which is Voting (This is no longer accreditation in the morning, voting in the afternoon, everything is done together now)
*The cubicle is the secrecy of the election (A secluded area where only you and your thought on who to choose as your candidate via a thumb print)
See picture of a cubicle below:
*Don't allow anyone around you in the cubicle, not even INEC officials.
*Do not carry a phone with you to the cubicle (In short, give your phone to someone before you get to the point of accreditation)
*PWDs (People With Disabilities), nursing mothers, pregnant women, old men and women will be given careful attention (Pls don't get angry when you see this action on that day) it could be you!
*For the PWDs, finish all arrangements with whoever is bringing them to the polling unit (don't come and start arguing, and please allow them to vote for who they want, don't make the choice for them
*Avoid invalid votes by thumb printing inside the party ballot box of your preferred candidate
See sample below:
I hope with these few tips, we will all record a free, fair and credible election.
Your vote must count!
Go out and vote!!
