Jos Crisis; Michael Chuwang,President of CYON murdered in the Jos Crisis two hours after leaving the mass

Yesterday 26th May 2019, a fresh crisis erupted in some areas of Jos, Plateau State leaving quite a number of people dead and properties burnt down.

Felix Ukah took to his Facebook page to express his sadness over the demise of his friend two hours after leaving the church.

He has this to say;

''Jos crisis! Nassarawa gwong Crisis! After years of grooming and mentoring, this is what I got for d second time. We were on d same pew in church yesterday, two hours later u are gone.Michael Chuwang my parish CYON president adieu,that's all can b able to same''

In a phone conversation i just had with a close friend, Mr Chuwang while running for his life, was attacked and shot dead in his mothers kitchen!

''A resident of the area who identified himself as Mr Paul Musa, said there had been tension in the area since last week when a boy from Angwan Miango was found dead at a boundary between the community and neighbouring Rikkos, a community of Hausa residents.

He claimed that on Sunday morning, another boy from the same Angwan Miango was killed at a stream that runs across Angwan Miango and Rikkos communities, adding that indigence of Angwan Miango went on a reprisal against Rikkos, resulting in killings.

Some churches, it was gathered, hurriedly ended their services to guard against attack.

Confirming the violence in a statement on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer in Plateau State Mr Mathias Tyopev said security men had been drafted to quell the fight.

He said we have received reports of tension around Dutse Uku,Rikkos, Cele Bridge and we mobilised our personnel to the area.''

It's such a pity seeing our beautiful plateau turning into a bloody hell, how our youths with bright future are being killed for no reason, sometimes i wonder what could have gone wrong and where,i can't stop weeping and I'm even afraid of going to my own land, it hurts so much... Oh lord have mercy and heal our beautiful land 😢
